The latest McKinsey Global Survey on AI reveals a surge in generative AI (gen AI) adoption, with 65% of respondents reporting their organizations are regularly using gen AI, nearly double the percentage from just 10 months prior. Overall AI adoption has jumped to 72%, a significant increase after years of stagnation around 50%.

Gen AI adoption is most prevalent in marketing and sales (adopted by over 30% of respondents) and product and service development functions where it can create substantial value. Half of respondents say their organizations have adopted AI in two or more business functions.

In addition to organizational use, there has been a notable rise in individual gen AI use, with respondents much more likely to be using it at work and in their personal lives compared to 2023.

The survey finds organizations are already seeing tangible benefits from gen AI, including cost decreases in human resources and revenue increases of over 5% in supply chain and inventory management functions.

Looking ahead, 67% of respondents expect their organizations to invest more in AI over the next three years. Many industries are budgeting equally for gen AI and analytical AI solutions, though larger shares report spending over 20% on analytical AI than gen AI currently.

​Miss AI Beauty Pageant: 'Top 10 Models' Vie for the Crown​​​​

The World AI Creator Awards introduced the world's first-ever AI beauty pageant, Miss AI. This pageant aims to showcase AI-generated models created by artists from across the globe, vying for the Miss AI crown.
